A few weeks ago there was word that the higher ups here at work were going to review email and internet usage for each employee for the purposes of "headcount reductions", aka firings. So I have been hesitant to update since then. At home I tend to get too wrapped up in the wife and kids to do much blogging.Since I have survived here this long, I decided to post. It has been a pretty eventful month.
The MRI on my foot revealed a partial tear of my plantar fascia. I have been doing physical therapy for a couple of weeks and I anticipate that I will be out of my walking boot and in regular shoes in a couple of weeks. The doctor seems to think that it should fully heal and I won't have any chronic problems.
My family joined a church last month. It is the first time I have been a member of a church other than the one I grew up in. I am now a card carrying Methodist (they didn't really give me a card) It is a nice, smaller church and I like the Methodist philosophy.
My daughter started Kindergarten last month and is doing great. She and my son are as cute as ever.
Football season kicked off last weekend and I am psyched. I am a huge football fan. My Tennessee Vols looked really good in a dismantling of the over-hyped Cal Bears. I hope we maintain the intesity and discipline all year that we showed against Cal. I have been hopeful that the Washington Redskins would be good this year, but they have looked horrible in the preseason. I hope they show up better during the regular season.
