Speaking of people dying way too young, one of my best friends growing up and my college roommate died on Aug. 22 at the age of 34. He had a heart attack at his home. He had a rare blood disorder 10 years ago that almost killed him at the time. I am not sure how this was related to his heart attack.
The part that really bothers me about his death is how long it had been since we had seen each other. He returned to our home town after college. I did not. As family and work took more and more time, we had not kept in touch as much. I am glad that I did talk to him on the phone about a month before his death. I wish I had seen him more.
Cox, I loved you like a brother and I will miss you. I hope you can watch football in the after-life and you got to see the butt-whipping we put on Cal. You would have loved it!
