So, what has been going on in three years?

Since my last morbid post, life has marched on with several changes. I think one of the problems with the blog before was it was hard for me to define my audience, since I'm fairly certain no one is interested. Regardless, I am going to carry on as if someone is.

The most important change in my life over the past few years is my new daughter who is 16 months old now. She is daddy's girl and it is hard for me to express how happy it makes me when she reacts to me the way she does.

I took a job with a small design company in Dec. '06 and am still with them. 2 years and 4 months is a personal record for job longevity for me. I hope it keeps up for a while. I like it here. Pay, environment and commute are all good.

I finally got disgusted enough with myself that I did something about my weight. I did Nutrisystem starting in June of '07 and lost 110 lbs. I have rebounded about 10 lbs, but I am 100 pounds lighter than when I started and still fitting in my "skinny clothes". I still use NS quite a bit to help maintain, but I have loosened up a bit. Maintenance is hard. Feeling better and looking better than I ever have is pretty strong incentive, though.

Lastly, (for now at least) is my new hobby. In an attempt to add some exercise to my life, I got involved with American Kenpo (AKA Ed Parker's Kenpo) almost two years ago. I recently earned my brown belt and I really enjoy the system. I had alway said I wanted to learn a martial art, and now I am. I am very happy with the school and the system that I have chosen to take.

That is all for now, imaginary reader. I should get some work done at that job I was gushing about earlier.

I'm baaaack

OK, what's a few years amongst friends. A lot of stuff has been going on since I last posted. Like everything else that passes through my ADD brain, the shiny wore off the blog thing. I am going to give it another go.
