(Formerly known as my moment in the sun)
Last night we had 11 players, so I caught instead of playing right field. I did hit the ball well a couple of times. However, in my final AB, I grounded between short and third. I ran like hell and beat out the throw. I hit the bag or ground really hard with my left foot and now I can't put any weight on my left foot. It is just the heel. It feels really deeply bruised, but the Dr. said that there may be ligament damage. MRI to tell more Friday. I am on crutches right now, which REALLY sucks.

I fought the pool and I cold won
My pool pump motor was making a really high pitched whine and not pumping at the end of last week, so I called and asked for someone to look at it. The technician showed up at the beginning of the 5 hour window that they gave me and left before I got home to meet him. I manned up and took the motor off myself (3 wires and 6 bolts). Went and got a replacement at the pool store and put it on myself.
I saved myself at least $200 by doing that myself.

This goes against every fiber of my being
I need to go talk to my boss and tell him that I am not very busy and that he should assign me something. I fear that eventually someone will realize they have been paying me to surf the internet and blog lately.
I know that my assignment will be an engineering change. I hate working other people's screw-ups.
But, alas, I am an agent of change.

My moment in the Hot Ass Sun III
Well, Tuesday was the first loss of the season for Sofa King good. All hopes of going undefeated are dashed. I went to the batting cage before the game with no improvement. I did make a good catch in right field. The guy blooped it opposite field and I ran in and caught it across my body at about thigh level on a dead run. It was a good catch.
